Porodo Lifestyle Cannes Frame 19″ LED Flat Panel Light

Porodo Lifestyle Cannes Frame 19-Inch LED Flat Panel Light Price in Kenya, Full Specifications and Review (2026)

The Porodo Lifestyle Cannes Frame 19-Inch LED Flat Panel Light price in Kenya is KSh 6,000. That buys a 19-inch, 45W mains-powered LED panel with 360 LED beads, a 3200K to 6500K adjustable colour temperature, adjustable brightness rated up to 15,000 lux, and a high colour rendering index (CRI) of Ra 95+. The panel tilts through 180 degrees, and an infrared remote adjusts it from up to 10 metres away. It is aimed at home studios: product photography, talking-head videos, interviews, online classes and livestreams.

The standout spec is the CRI of Ra 95+. CRI measures how faithfully a light source shows colours compared with natural reference light. Low-CRI lights make skin look grey or greenish and shift product colours, which matters for anyone selling clothes, cosmetics or food online. Ra 95+ is a level usually found on more expensive video lights, and well above the Ra 80 typical of budget ring lights.

The closest alternative at Phonesstore Kenya is the Green Lion GLR-18 LED Ring Light with Adjustable Tripod & Remote at KSh 8,300. The two take different approaches to lighting. The Cannes Frame is a flat panel that works as a broad key light set to one side of the subject, with higher colour accuracy and more power. The GLR-18 is a ring light that sits in front of the camera, comes with its own tripod and offers a wider colour temperature range. For buyers who already have a stand, the Cannes Frame offers better colour quality for KSh 2,300 less.

Design and Build

The Cannes Frame is a 19-inch flat LED panel. A panel this size counts as a broad light source, and that determines how flattering the light is. How soft a light looks depends on how large it appears from the subject’s position. A small, bright point such as a bare bulb or phone flash throws hard-edged shadows and harsh highlights on skin. A broad panel wraps light around the face and softens shadow edges, which reads as more natural and professional on camera. Placing the panel closer makes it appear larger from the subject’s view and softens the light further.

The panel tilts through up to 180 degrees, so the light can be aimed down from above, straight ahead, or angled up. That covers the classic setups: angled 30 to 45 degrees off to one side of the face as a key light, or pointed down at a table for flat-lay product shots.

The package lists only the panel, a power cord and the remote. A light stand is not listed, and the mounting thread type is not specified. Most panels of this kind mount on a standard light stand, but buyers should confirm what the panel fits and budget for a stand if they do not already have one. Weight, dimensions and frame material are also not specified.

Lighting Performance

The panel uses 360 LED beads at 45W and is rated at up to 15,000 lux. Lux measures how much light falls on a surface, and it depends heavily on distance. Under the inverse-square law, doubling the distance from the light cuts the light reaching the subject to a quarter. Porodo does not state the distance at which 15,000 lux was measured, so the figure cannot be compared directly with other lights. For a home studio, 45W is plenty for a single person or tabletop products at close range. It will struggle to light a large room or a group from several metres away.

Brightness is adjustable, but the source does not say whether dimming is stepless (smooth) or in fixed steps, or how low it goes. A wide dimming range matters for matching the panel to existing light, such as a window, without overpowering the scene.

Colour temperature runs from 3200K to 6500K. Lower numbers mean warmer, more orange light, similar to traditional indoor bulbs. Higher numbers mean cooler, bluer light, close to daylight and overcast sky. Matching the panel to the other light in the room prevents mixed colour casts, such as a blue window on one side of the face and an orange bulb on the other. For a room lit mainly by a window during the day, the cooler end works best. For evening shoots under warm room lighting, the warmer end blends in. Whether colour temperature adjusts smoothly or in presets is not specified.

The Ra 95+ CRI is the panel’s strongest technical feature. Cheap LEDs produce light with gaps in the colour spectrum, so some colours, especially skin tones and reds, look dull or off on camera. A CRI of 95 or above means the light reproduces colours closely to natural reference light. That shows in flattering skin on talking-head videos, true-to-life product colours for online shops, and less colour correction in editing. Ra is an average of eight standard test colours. A separate measure for deep red (R9), which affects skin warmth, is not specified.

Control and Remote

The infrared remote adjusts brightness and colour temperature from up to 10 metres away, so a solo creator can fine-tune the light from the subject’s position without walking back and forth. Infrared needs a clear line of sight between the remote and the sensor on the panel, so it will not work from behind the panel or around obstacles. The remote’s battery type is not specified.

Power and Lifespan

The panel runs only on 220V mains power through the included power cord. No battery or battery plate is listed. That limits it to indoor, plugged-in use and means a power cut stops a shoot. Buyers who record regularly during outages will need a UPS or inverter, which a 45W load places little strain on. It cannot run from a USB power bank.

The rated operating life is up to 5,000 hours. At three hours of recording a day, that is about four and a half years of use. LED life figures usually mark the point where brightness has fallen noticeably rather than when the light stops working completely; the source does not define its rating. Many professional LED panels quote far longer lifespans, so this is modest but reasonable for home use at this price.

Who Is the Porodo Lifestyle Cannes Frame 19-Inch LED Flat Panel Light For?

Ideal for:

• Online sellers who need accurate product colours for clothing, cosmetics, food and crafts
• Creators recording talking-head videos, interviews and tutorials who want soft, flattering key light
• Remote workers and teachers who want to look better on video calls and online classes
• Home studio users who already own a light stand and want high colour accuracy at a low price

Not ideal for:

• Creators who shoot outdoors or on location, since the panel needs mains power
• Buyers who need a complete kit with a stand included out of the box
• Larger productions that need more power or several lights for full studio coverage

Pros and Cons

The Porodo Lifestyle Cannes Frame 19-Inch LED Flat Panel Light has genuine strengths at KSh 6,000. Its Ra 95+ CRI reproduces skin tones and product colours accurately, and the 19-inch panel gives soft, even light. It uses 360 LED beads at 45W, rated up to 15,000 lux, with adjustable brightness and a 3200K to 6500K colour temperature range. The panel tilts through 180 degrees, and an infrared remote works from up to 10 metres. It is a strong level of colour accuracy for the price.

Its main limitations are mains-only power with no battery option, so it cannot be used outdoors or during power cuts without a UPS. A light stand is not listed as included and the mounting thread is not specified. The 15,000 lux rating has no stated distance. Dimming and colour adjustment steps are not specified, and the infrared remote needs line of sight. The 5,000-hour lifespan is modest, and weight and dimensions are not listed.

Porodo Lifestyle Cannes Frame 19-Inch LED Flat Panel Light vs Green Lion GLR-18 LED Ring Light

These two lights suit different shooting styles. The Cannes Frame wins on colour accuracy (Ra 95+ against Ra 80), power (45W against 36W) and price, at KSh 2,300 less. Its flat panel works best as a key light angled to one side, which gives faces shape and depth. The Green Lion GLR-18 wins on convenience: it comes with an adjustable tripod with 360° rotation, offers a wider 2700K to 7000K colour range and stepless dimming, and runs through a 12V adapter. A ring light sits directly in front of the camera, giving even, shadowless light and the distinctive circular reflection in the eyes that is popular for beauty and selfie content.

For accurate colours and soft key lighting with an existing stand, the Cannes Frame is the better value; for a ready-to-use kit with a tripod and the classic ring-light look, the GLR-18 is worth the extra KSh 2,300.
