About the Poco X3 GT
The Xiaomi Poco X3 GT is an impressive Chinese release new midrange, a rename of the Redmi Note 10 Pro. It packs a very fast Mediatek Dimensity 1100 5G chipset, a huge 6.6-inch LCD 120Hz screen, a great 64MP camera, a huge 5000 mAh battery, 67W fast charging, and 5G capability. At its price, it’s truly a force to record with.
Design
The Poco X3 GT comes with a 6.67-inch LCD screen with a punch-hole design for the selfie camera. It’s a massive screen, hardly a one-handed operation, with a screen-to-body ratio of 84.9%. It has a refresh rate of 120Hz refresh rate, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and supports HD10+ which makes it an absolute delight to consume media with. It has a plastic frame and back, and a Corning Gorilla Victus front panel, the hardest glass yet. It is quite bright and vivid, peaking at 450 nits. It’s rated for IP53 dust and splash protection, which means it’s not waterproof. Like many Xiaomi Poco phones, it comes with an IR blaster but unfortunately no headphone jack. It has a physical fast fingerprint sensor, conveniently placed on its side, integrated into the power button. It supports stereo speakers, which are great for playing with media.
Performance
The Poco X3 GT brings in the heat with a highly rated MediaTek MT6891Z Dimensity 1100 5G chipset, making it very fast and great for gaming. It has a Cortex Octa-core CPU paired with a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU, with storage options of 8 GB for RAM & 128 or 256 GB for ROM. It however does not come with an expandable memory option, which shouldn’t be a problem. Paired with the 120Hz screen, running the latest Android 11 with an MIUI 12.5 skin on top, the performance feels very fast and premium. No lags or slow transitions on this one. Everything feels fast, fluid, and rich in color.
Cameras
The Poco X3 GT has a triple camera arrangement on the back. It comes with a huge 64 MP primary sensor, with 8 MP picture binning for those excellent daylight photos. The ultra-wide is an 8MP lens, with a 120˚field of view, giving it great immersion for those landscape or group photos. There is an extra 2MP macro telephoto lens for those nice, close-up photos. The video can support up to 4K video at 30 fps, with HD10+ supports & gyro-EIS stability assistance. It can also record 1080p video at an impressive 960 fps! The selfie camera is a generous 16MP wide sensor, capable of 1080p video at 30fps. The selfies are great and well-lit.
Other features
We can’t fail to mention the charging speeds in the Poco X3 GT. At 67W USB Power Delivery 3.0 fast charging, the phone can get to fully charged in 42 minutes. That’s fairly fast by all standards! That in addition to the fact that it also comes with a Li-Po 5000mAh non-removable battery, which is rather generous. Even with the high refresh rate screen, this should be more than enough. The main concession would be that there is no wireless charging here. It supports NFC for contactless paying.
It comes in Stargaze Black, Wave Blue, and Cloud White
