Chinese smartphone maker Huawei announced the Huawei Y7a smartphone in Kenya. The Huawei Y7a is expected to be priced at 22,500 Kenya shillings for the 128GB 4GB RAM storage configuration but will also be available in 64GB 4GB RAM version. Interested customers can pick it up in Crush Green, Blush Gold, and Midnight Black color options.

The Huawei Y7a measures 163.5 x 76.5 x 9 mm (height x width x thickness) with a total weight of 197 grams. Coming to cameras, it has a quad 64 MP rear camera and a motorized pop-up 16 MP front camera for selfies. This phone has a 6.63 inches, 1080 x 2400 pixels IPS display with a pixel density of 397 PPI. Launch

This phone, Huawei Y9a was released in 2020,  September 12. This phone has a 163.5 x 76.5 x 9 mm dimension and weighs about 197 grams. It is also a Dual SIM smartphone that uses Nano-SIM and has a dual standby. On the front is a full display because of the Motorized pop-up selfie camera. Its back panel has a quad-camera module centrally placed. As for the fingerprint scanner, there is a side-mounted one.

Huawei Y7a comes in colors Space Silver, Sakura Pink, and Midnight Black. It makes use of the 2.0, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector, and has a 3.5 mm jack. Network

The Huawei Y7a smartphone supports four network technologies. These are GSM, HSPA, and LTE. HSPA extends and improves the performance of existing 3G mobile telecommunication networks using the WCDMA protocols. LTE  is a standard for wireless broadband communication for mobile devices and data terminals, based on the GSM/EDGE and UMTS/HSPA technologies.

Also powering Huawei Y7a is an Octa-core (4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×1.7 GHz Cortex-A53), and a Kirin 710A (14 nm) chipset.

Under the hood, it also brings a Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. The ARM Mali-G51 MP4 is an integrated mid-range graphics card for ARM-based SoCs (mostly Android-based). It was introduced in 2018 in the HiSilicon Kirin 710 and uses 4 clusters (hence the MP4name). Huawei Y7a comes with 64GB 4GB RAM, or 128GB 4GB RAM. There are five cameras on Huawei Y7a. They are made up of a main 48 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/2.0″, 0.8µm, PDAF, an 8 MP, f/2.4, 120˚ (ultrawide), 1/4.0″, 1.12µm, a 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro) and a 2 MP f/2.4, (depth). Its main feature is LED flash, HDR, and panorama and it can shoot video up to 4K@30fps with the main camera but 1080p@30fps with the selfie. The LED flash in a mobile phone is a constant light source for the screen. The selfie shooter is an 8 MP, f/2.0, (wide), shooter.

Battery

The Huawei Y7a has a non-removable Li-Po 5,000 mAh battery (or 4200 mAh) with fast charging 22.5W, 46% in 30 min (advertised). Despite having a high performing Kirin 710A (14 nm) chipset, this battery lasting 5,000 mAh capacity battery. This battery should be enough to last a whole day of mixed usage.
