PlayStation 4 EA SPORTS FC 27

EA SPORTS FC 27 (PlayStation 4) Price in Kenya, Full Specifications and Review (2026)

The EA SPORTS FC 27 (PlayStation 4) price in Kenya is KSh 11,000. It’s the PS4 edition of Electronic Arts’ annual football simulation, released on 25 September 2026, and it delivers the core FC 27 gameplay on older PlayStation hardware. The rebuilt Transfer Market, redesigned set pieces, and the new FUT Gallery are all part of it. The big omission is The Grounds, the new social football playground, which EA restricts to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. That restriction also covers Clubs, because EA describes The Grounds mode as including Clubs, so PS4 players don’t get Clubs either.

That distinction is the most important thing for a PS4 buyer to understand. Clubs is a core part of how many people play FC online, and The Grounds is the headline new feature of this edition, so the PS4 version is best understood as the single-player and Ultimate Team edition rather than the full social package. If your PS4 is the console you have and your play centres on Career Mode, Ultimate Team, and local matches, it still gives you a complete football game. If you want the social side, a current-generation console is the better route.

The gameplay changes that do reach PS4 are worth knowing. Improved spatial awareness helps teammates recognise space and passing intent, intelligent curved runs make attacking movement less mechanical, and new off-balance dribbling lets players keep momentum through physical one-on-one challenges. Redesigned set pieces give real-time control over positioning and attacking intent, and a new two-player header system makes aerial duels at corners and crosses a genuine contest between two players rather than a single dice-roll outcome.

Manager Career has a fully rebuilt Transfer Market with realistic player values and active club bidding, which makes buying and selling feel closer to the real market. Ultimate Team adds the FUT Gallery, where you curate and grade sets of past and present Player Items across clubs, leagues, nations, and FUT campaigns to raise your Gallery Level and earn rewards, plus a Campaign Hub that gathers themed Objectives, Squads, Evolutions, and Tokens in one place, alongside streamlined Squad Building Challenges and Single Player Live Events. The Campaign Hub matters because Ultimate Team’s many side systems used to be scattered across menus, and gathering them in one place makes the mode easier to follow.

Two practical points apply to Kenyan buyers. Online modes require PlayStation Plus, which is an ongoing cost, and Remote Play is supported, so you can stream the game to a compatible device. Also, EA’s editions guidance says players can upgrade from PS4 to PS5 at no additional cost within the same edition, so a PS4 purchase isn’t a dead end if you move to a PS5 later, though it’s worth asking the seller whether a physical copy qualifies, because EA describes the upgrade in digital terms. Ultimate Team also uses chance-based packs, so families should consider spending controls.

At KSh 11,000, the PS4 version sits KSh 500 above EA SPORTS FC 27 for PS5 at KSh 10,500, sold at Phonesstore Kenya. The PS5 version includes The Grounds and Clubs, so the cheaper listing is also the more complete one, which makes the PS4 price worth confirming with the seller.

What the PS4 Version Includes

The PS4 edition keeps the parts of FC 27 that don’t depend on newer hardware. Gameplay, Manager Career, and Ultimate Team all carry over, and the licensed content is the same: more than 21,000 players across 800-plus clubs and national teams, 130-plus stadiums, and 35-plus leagues, including the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, Bundesliga, LALIGA, and top women’s competitions.

The on-pitch improvements are what make the PS4 version feel current. Teammates read space better, curved runs make attacks look less rehearsed, off-balance dribbling rewards close control through contact, and the two-player header system makes corners a real contest. Because these changes affect how every match plays, they matter more to day-to-day enjoyment than any single mode.

What the PS4 Version Misses

The missing features are the ones to weigh before buying. The Grounds is a social football playground, and EA restricts it, including Clubs, to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. PS4 players miss out on the mode entirely, and any content connected to The Grounds, such as pre-order and Ultimate Edition cosmetics, only works on supported platforms.

Clubs is the part that matters most for online players. Because it’s part of The Grounds mode on FC 27, PS4 players can’t join Clubs play, which is a significant limit for anyone who plays with a regular group of friends. For solo players or those who focus on Ultimate Team and Career Mode, the omission is much less of a problem.

Manager Career and Transfer Market

The rebuilt Transfer Market is the headline Career Mode change, and it reaches PS4. Realistic player values mean prices track what a player is worth rather than drifting, and active club bidding means other clubs compete for the players you want, so signing a star requires planning instead of simply clicking buy. It makes Career Mode feel more like running a real club in a living market.

Ultimate Team: FUT Gallery and Campaign Hub

The FUT Gallery gives Ultimate Team a collection layer. You curate and grade sets of Player Items from across clubs, leagues, nations, and FUT campaigns, raising your Gallery Level and earning rewards through the season. It rewards collecting and showing off a dream club, not just assembling the strongest current squad.

The Campaign Hub is a practical quality-of-life change. By uniting themed Objectives, Squads, Evolutions, and Tokens in one place, it makes it easier to see what you’re working towards and to track progress across systems that used to be spread across different menus. Streamlined Squad Building Challenges and Single Player Live Events round out the mode, giving offline players meaningful goals too.

Online Play, Remote Play, and Upgrading to PS5

Online modes require PlayStation Plus, which is an ongoing cost for anyone who wants to play online regularly. Remote Play is supported, so you can stream the game to a compatible device, which is useful for playing away from the TV.

For buyers planning to upgrade hardware later, EA’s guidance states that players can upgrade from PS4 to PS5 at no additional cost within the same edition, and cross-progression works within the PlayStation family. That makes a PS4 purchase safer for someone who expects to get a PS5 eventually, though The Grounds-related content remains limited to the newer console either way, and a physical copy’s upgrade eligibility is worth confirming with the seller.

Pros and Cons

EA SPORTS FC 27 on PS4 has clear strengths at KSh 11,000. It delivers the latest season’s gameplay with improved spatial awareness, curved runs, off-balance dribbling, redesigned set pieces and a two-player header system, a fully rebuilt Transfer Market in Manager Career, the FUT Gallery and Campaign Hub in Ultimate Team, a database of 21,000-plus players across 800-plus clubs, Remote Play support, and a free upgrade path to PS5 within the same edition, at KSh 11,000.

Its main limitations are that The Grounds and Clubs aren’t available on PS4, that online modes require PlayStation Plus, that the PS4 listing costs KSh 500 more than the more complete PS5 listing, and that Ultimate Team uses chance-based packs.
