DualSense Wireless Controller – Fortnite Limited Edition

DualSense Wireless Controller – Fortnite Limited Edition Price in Kenya, Full Specifications and Review (2026)

The DualSense Wireless Controller – Fortnite Limited Edition price in Kenya is KSh 14,500. It is a collector’s version of Sony’s PS5 controller, styled after Fortnite, Epic Games’ hugely popular free-to-play battle royale. It wraps the full DualSense feature set in a Fortnite-themed limited-edition design: haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, a built-in microphone and speaker, a 3.5mm headset jack, a touch pad, motion sensors, and Create and mute buttons.

Fortnite is one of the most-played games on PlayStation, and it’s free, so many PS5 owners already play it regularly. That gives this controller wide appeal beyond collectors: younger players, families and anyone who spends evenings in Fortnite with friends. Fortnite on PS5 also supports the DualSense’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, so the controller’s signature features come into play in the game it’s themed on.

The comparison at Phonesstore Kenya is the standard DualSense Wireless PS5 Controller at KSh 10,000. The Fortnite edition costs KSh 4,500 more for the same features in a limited-edition design. Among the store’s other limited editions, the ASTRO BOT edition sits at KSh 14,000, the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Ghost of Yōtei editions at KSh 15,000, and Marvel’s Wolverine at KSh 17,000.

Design and Collector Appeal

The Fortnite Limited Edition gives the DualSense a Fortnite-themed look in place of the standard plain white finish. It instantly marks its owner as a Fortnite fan and is easy to tell apart from other controllers when friends gather to play. Limited-edition controllers are produced in fixed runs, which adds collector appeal and means stock may not be replenished once sold. Whether the controller includes any Fortnite in-game items is not specified.

Fortnite and the DualSense

Fortnite on PS5 uses the DualSense’s features. Haptic feedback adds detailed vibration for gunfire, explosions and movement, and adaptive triggers add resistance that varies by weapon. Combined with the built-in microphone for squad chat and the 3.5mm jack for a gaming headset, the controller covers what a Fortnite player needs, though serious competitive players usually prefer a headset microphone for clearer callouts. Fortnite is free to play on PS5, but online multiplayer for free-to-play games doesn’t require PlayStation Plus, so players can jump in without a subscription.

Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers

Beyond Fortnite, haptic feedback uses precise actuators instead of rumble motors to simulate textures, impacts and weather, and adaptive triggers add motorised resistance to the L2 and R2 triggers. Both work in games that support them, and support varies widely from title to title.

Audio and Communication

The built-in microphone allows voice chat without a headset, though it picks up more room noise than a headset microphone. The mute button switches voice capture off instantly. The built-in speaker plays sound effects in supported games, the 3.5mm jack accepts any wired headset, and the Create button captures screenshots and clips, handy for saving Victory Royale moments.

Connectivity and Compatibility

The controller connects to a PS5 over Bluetooth or USB-C, and USB-C also charges the built-in battery, with play-while-charging supported. Battery capacity and life are not specified. It also works with Windows PCs and Macs, and with Android phones and iPhones. On other devices it generally works as a standard controller, with haptics and adaptive triggers mainly a PS5 experience. It is not compatible with the PS4 console.

Who Is the Fortnite Limited Edition DualSense For?

Ideal for:

• Fortnite players who want a controller themed on their favourite game
• Parents buying a gift for a young Fortnite fan
• Collectors of limited-edition PlayStation hardware
• Players who want a second controller that stands out from the standard white

Not ideal for:

• Players who just need a working controller, who can save KSh 4,500 with the standard DualSense
• PS4 owners, since it isn’t PS4-compatible
• Anyone expecting a competitive advantage in Fortnite from the controller itself

Pros and Cons

The DualSense Wireless Controller – Fortnite Limited Edition has genuine strengths at KSh 14,500. Its Fortnite-themed design suits one of PlayStation’s most popular games, and Fortnite on PS5 supports its haptics and adaptive triggers. It keeps the full DualSense feature set: a built-in microphone and speaker, a 3.5mm headset jack, a touch pad, motion sensors, and Create and mute buttons. It connects over Bluetooth or USB-C with play-while-charging, works with PS5, PC, Mac, Android and iOS, and has collector appeal as a limited edition.

Its main limitations are a KSh 4,500 premium over a standard DualSense for appearance only, with no performance or competitive advantage. It isn’t PS4-compatible, bundled in-game items aren’t confirmed, battery capacity and life are not specified, and limited stock may not be replenished.
