Launch

The Tecno Spark 7 Pro was announced on 2021, April 27. It is also a Dual SIM smartphone that uses Nano-SIM and has a dual standby. On the front is a hole punch display wherein the selfie camera lies. Its back panel has a triple-camera module on the right-hand side. As for the fingerprint scanner, there is rear-mounted just beside the camera module. Tecno Spark 7 Pro price in Kenya is Ksh 19,500.

Tecno Spark 7 Pro comes in the colors Alps Blue, Spruce Green, Neon Dream, and Magnet Black. It makes use of the micro USB 2.0 and has a 3.5 mm jack. The phone also has Bluetooth, and GPS with A-GPS. It also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot. As for radio (FM/AM).

Network

The Tecno Spark 7 Pro smartphone supports four network technologies. These are GSM, HSPA, and LTE. HSPA extends and improves the performance of existing 3G mobile telecommunication networks using the WCDMA protocols. LTE  is a standard for wireless broadband communication for mobile devices and data terminals, based on the GSM/EDGE and UMTS/HSPA technologies.

Global System for Mobile Communications is a standard developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute to describe the protocols for second-generation digital cellular networks used by mobile devices such as mobile phones and tablets.

Cameras

There are three cameras on the Tecno Spark 7 Pro. They are made up of a main 48 MP, AF, a secondary unknown camera, and a third unknown camera. The main feature here is a Quad-LED flash and it can shoot video up to 1080p@30fps with the main camera, and 1080p@30fps also with the selfie. Speaking of the selfie, on Spark 7 there is a single 8 MP shooter.

Platform

A phone platform is the hardware/software environment for tablets, smartphones, and other portable devices. Tecno Spark 7 Pro runs on the Android 11 operating system. Android 11 is the eleventh major release and 18th version of Android, the mobile operating system developed by the Open Handset Alliance led by Google. Also powering the Spark 7 Pro is an Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55), MediaTek Helio G80 (12 nm) chipset. This version of Android it runs is based on HIOS 7.5.

Under the hood, it also brings a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The ARM Mali-G52 MP2 (or G52MC2) is an integrated mid-range graphics card for ARM-based SoCs (mostly Android-based). It was introduced in 2020 in the MediaTek Helio G80 with a clock speed of up to 950 MHz. Tecno Spark 7 comes with 64GB 4GB RAM, or 64GB 6GB RAM, or 128GB 4GB RAM.

Battery
