Realme C25Y
Realme C25Y brings competitive pricing to budget phones balancing out the basic features with decent performance and its high capacity batteries. It sports a 6.5 inch IPS LCD screen, a triple camera set up, decent 6GB RAM, a relatively huge 5000 mAh battery, and a decent budget chipset. That’s certainly eye-catching a device considering its price point
Design
Realme C25Y comes with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a dewdrop notch design for the selfie camera. It’s a fairly big phone, with a small chin at the bottom, with a screen-to-body ratio of 81.6%. It has a plastic frame and back and a scratch-resistant front panel. It is very bright and vivid, peaking at 420 nits. It’s not rated for splash protection, but it’s certainly not waterproof. Fortunately, it has top-placed a headphone jack. It has a rear-mounted physical fingerprint sensor that is pretty fast and secure. It has a downward-firing speaker, which is great for playing media.
Performance
Realme C25Y comes with the budget UnisocT610, making it decently fast. It has a Cortex Octa-core A75/A55 1.8GHz CPU paired with a Mali G52 GPU, with storage options of 4/6 GB for RAM & 64/128 GB for ROM. It also comes with a dedicated expandable memory option. It is running the latest Android 11, with Realme UI R skin on top.
The performance is relatively fast, smooth, and rich in color. It however comes with some pre-installed apps, which can be an underwhelming experience, especially if you are not used to bloatware. These can however be turned off with a single click. The OS is however very customizable, with tones of themes and other customizations.
Cameras
Realme C25Y has a dual-camera arrangement on the back. It comes with a 50MP primary sensor, for those excellent daylight photos. It still delivers decently and colorfully. Add a 2MP macro lens and 2MP for depth. It will predictably deliver less and less as light reduces, but otherwise, the photos are great and usable. The video can support up to 1080p video at 30 fps, with HDR support. The selfie camera is a decent 8MP wide sensor, capable of 720p video at 30fps. The selfies are great and well-lit.
Other features
The Realme C25Y supports micro-USB, unfortunately, but it has 18W fast charging, which is delightful. Needless to say, there is also no wireless charging. On the flip side, it comes with a huge Li-Po 5000mAh non-removable battery. It can get fully charged in just over 1 hour. Despite being a budget phone, the addition of the fairly quick chipset & big battery really does turntables for this device. It truly is a beautiful device to look at. There is no NFC for contactless payments. It comes in Glacier Blue, & Metal Gray
