Insta360 Flow 2 Pro AI Tracker Kit Price in Kenya, Full Specifications and Review (2026)

The Insta360 Flow 2 Pro AI Tracker Kit price in Kenya is KSh 18,500, though it’s currently listed as out of stock at the retailer this listing is sourced from. Before anything else, it’s worth flagging a genuine pricing anomaly in the Kenyan market for this product line: the standalone Insta360 Flow 2 Pro Gimbal, without the AI Tracker accessory included in this kit, is confirmed in stock at Phonesstore Kenya at KSh 24,500, a full KSh 6,000 more than this kit’s price despite including fewer components. That’s not necessarily an error, different retailers source stock through different channels and apply their own margins, and bundle pricing doesn’t always scale predictably with component count, but it’s a discrepancy worth knowing about before assuming either figure represents the “correct” market price.

This is Insta360’s smartphone gimbal built specifically around AI-assisted subject tracking, combining three-axis mechanical stabilization with a dedicated AI Tracker accessory that extends intelligent tracking capability beyond Insta360’s own app into third-party camera and video apps on both Android and iOS. It’s worth understanding precisely what the AI Tracker actually does differently from the gimbal’s built-in tracking, since this distinction is the entire reason this specific kit configuration exists and costs more than the gimbal alone.

Insta360’s native Deep Track technology, running through the Insta360 app itself, has long offered capable subject tracking, but that capability was historically locked to Insta360’s own app, meaning anyone who wanted to livestream through a third-party app, record directly into a different camera app, or use the gimbal during a video call couldn’t access AI tracking at all. The AI Tracker module solves this by functioning as an independent tracking accessory, mounted separately from the phone itself, that communicates tracking data to the gimbal’s motors directly, rather than relying on the phone’s own camera app to calculate and relay subject position. This is what allows Gesture Control and intelligent tracking to work “across supported apps” generally, a genuinely meaningful expansion of functionality beyond Insta360’s own software ecosystem.

You can check availability for the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro AI Tracker Kit from Phonesstore Kenya, which also stocks the standalone Flow 2 Pro Gimbal at KSh 24,500 for buyers who don’t need the AI Tracker’s expanded third-party app compatibility.

Design and Build Quality

The compact, foldable design is the baseline expectation for any smartphone gimbal intended for regular travel and mobile content creation, and Insta360 has built the Flow 2 Pro around minimizing the gear a solo creator needs to carry. Having a selfie stick and tripod function built directly into the gimbal’s handle, rather than requiring separate accessories, is a genuinely practical space-and-weight saving decision: a creator who needs to switch from handheld shooting to a stable, hands-free setup for an interview or time-lapse doesn’t need to pack a second piece of equipment to do it.

The magnetic phone clamp, included in this kit’s box contents, is worth understanding as more than just a mounting mechanism. Magnetic attachment systems generally allow faster, more reliable phone mounting and dismounting compared to spring-loaded clamps, since there’s no need to manually squeeze and align a clamp mechanism every time the phone needs to be attached or removed, a genuinely useful convenience during a shoot where speed and reliability matter.

AI Tracking and the Tracker Module

This is the section that actually explains why this specific kit configuration exists rather than just the base gimbal. Deep Track 4.0, Insta360’s native tracking technology, analyzes the camera’s video feed in real time to identify and follow a designated subject, a capability that’s genuinely impressive but was historically limited to working only within Insta360’s own app, since the tracking calculations depend on direct access to the camera feed that only Insta360’s own software could provide.

The AI Tracker module changes that constraint by functioning as a separate, independent sensor unit rather than relying purely on software analysis of the phone’s own camera feed. Mounted alongside or near the phone, it can observe and track a subject independently, then communicate positioning data directly to the gimbal’s motors, meaning the tracking function becomes independent of which app is actually running on the phone’s screen. This is specifically what enables the kit’s headline claim of tracking “across supported apps,” a genuinely meaningful technical distinction from gimbals whose AI tracking only works inside one proprietary app.

Gesture Control, letting a creator start or stop tracking with a hand gesture rather than reaching for a physical button or phone screen, extends this hands-free philosophy further, genuinely useful for solo creators who need to activate tracking after they’ve already walked into frame and don’t have a free hand to operate a control.

Lighting and Practical Shooting Features

The built-in spotlight, offering three colour temperatures and three brightness levels, is a small but genuinely thoughtful addition for a smartphone gimbal specifically, since smartphone cameras generally handle low-light conditions considerably worse than dedicated cameras with larger sensors, and having supplementary lighting built directly into the gimbal removes the need to carry and separately mount an external light for basic low-light shooting situations like indoor interviews or evening content.

Battery Life and Power Sharing

A rated 10-hour runtime is a genuinely strong figure for a device this compact, supporting extended shooting sessions, events, or full-day content creation without needing a mid-session recharge. The ability to supply power to a connected smartphone is a particularly practical feature worth highlighting specifically: smartphone cameras, especially when recording high-resolution video for extended periods, can drain a phone’s own battery considerably faster than typical use, and having the gimbal itself double as a power source means a creator’s phone battery becomes less of a limiting factor during a long shoot.

Who Is the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro AI Tracker Kit For?

Ideal for:

• Creators who need AI subject tracking to work inside third-party apps, not just Insta360’s own software
• Solo content creators who want hands-free Gesture Control to start and stop tracking
• Anyone who wants a gimbal that also functions as a selfie stick, tripod, and portable power source for their phone
• Buyers shooting extended sessions who need the full 10-hour runtime

Not ideal for:

• Buyers who only use Insta360’s own app and don’t need the AI Tracker’s third-party app compatibility, where the base Flow 2 Pro Gimbal alone would suffice
• Anyone who needs to purchase this specific kit immediately, given its current out-of-stock status at the source retailer
• Buyers confused by the pricing discrepancy between this kit and the standalone gimbal, who should confirm current, accurate pricing directly with whichever retailer they’re considering before purchase

Pros and Cons

The Insta360 Flow 2 Pro AI Tracker Kit has genuinely useful strengths when available. It delivers 3-axis stabilization, Deep Track 4.0 AI tracking extended to third-party apps via the dedicated AI Tracker module, hands-free Gesture Control, a built-in spotlight with adjustable colour temperature and brightness, a built-in selfie stick and tripod, up to 10 hours of runtime, and the ability to power a connected smartphone during extended shoots, at KSh 18,500 when in stock.

Its main limitations are its current out-of-stock status at the source retailer, a genuine and unexplained pricing discrepancy against the standalone Flow 2 Pro Gimbal sold elsewhere at a higher price despite including less, and the general category limitation that the AI Tracker’s benefit is specifically valuable only to creators who actually use third-party apps requiring tracking, buyers who exclusively shoot through Insta360’s own app gain comparatively little from paying for the Tracker module specifically.

Where to Buy Insta360 Flow 2 Pro AI Tracker Kit in Kenya

You can check current availability for the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro AI Tracker Kit at Phonesstore Kenya, a retailer for genuine Insta360 accessories in Kenya, given this specific kit’s out-of-stock status at its original listed source.

Phonesstore Kenya also stocks the standalone Insta360 Flow 2 Pro Gimbal, confirmed in stock, for buyers who want the core stabilization and native tracking features without the AI Tracker’s expanded app compatibility.

Insta360 Flow 2 Pro AI Tracker Kit vs Insta360 Flow 2 Pro Gimbal (Standalone)

Both are part of the same Insta360 Flow 2 Pro product line, with the AI Tracker Kit adding the dedicated tracking module on top of the same core gimbal hardware found in the standalone version, confirmed in stock at Phonesstore Kenya at KSh 24,500. The AI Tracker Kit’s core advantage is extending AI subject tracking to work across third-party apps rather than being limited to Insta360’s own app, a genuinely meaningful capability difference for creators who livestream or record through other software, though it’s worth noting the pricing relationship between these two configurations in the Kenyan market doesn’t currently scale in an obviously predictable way, buyers should confirm current, accurate pricing for both directly with their chosen retailer before deciding between them.
