Launch

This phone, Huawei P40 Pro Plus was released in 2020, April 07. This phone has a 158.2 x 72.6 x 9 mm dimension and weighs about 226 grams. It is also a Dual SIM smartphone that uses Nano-SIM and has dual stand-by. On the front is a hole punch display wherein the dual selfie camera lies. Platform

Android 10 is the tenth major release and the 17th version of the Android mobile operating system. It was released on September 3, 2019. Also powering Huawei P40 Pro Plus is an Octa-core (2×2.86 GHz Cortex-A76 & 2×2.36 GHz Cortex-A76 & 4×1.95 GHz Cortex-A55), Kirin 990 5G (7 nm+) chipset. This version of Android it runs is based on EMUI 10.1, with no Google Play Services.

Under the hood, it also brings a Mali-G76 MP16 GPU. The ARM Mali-G76 MP16 is an integrated high-end graphics card for ARM-based SoCs (mostly Android-based). It was introduced early 2019 in the Kirin 990 5G and according to Huawei should be about 6% faster and 20% more efficient than an Adreno 640 in a Snapdragon 855. Cameras

There are five cameras on Huawei P40 Pro Plus. They are made up of a main 50 MP, f/1.9, 23mm (wide), 1/1.28″, 2.44µm, omnidirectional PDAF, OIS, 8 MP,f/4.4, 240mm (periscope telephoto), PDAF, OIS, 10x optical zoom and an 8 MP,  f/2.4, 80mm (telephoto), PDAF, OIS, 3x optical zoom. Its main feature is Leica optics, LED flash, panorama, HDR and it can shoot video up to 4K@30fps with the main camera and likewise 4K@30fps with the selfie. Speaking of the selfie. Huawei P40 Pro Plus has a non-removable Li-Po 4200 mAh battery. It is a lasting battery given its 4200 mAh capacity despite having a high performing Kirin 990 5G (7 nm+) chipset.
