Performance
The Vivo V27 is a fantastic mid-range phone that performs well in day-to-day use. You’ll hardly notice any lag or stuttering, but there may be a few instances of animations that aren’t as smooth. However, these differences are hardly noticeable unless you’re really looking for them. While the phone runs like a dream with the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset and 12GB of RAM, it struggles a bit when loading up some games. On the Pro model, Genshin Impact ran at 60fps with high settings, but on the V27, we had to drop down to 30fps with low settings for a smooth experience.
Even with the game boost mode activated, we couldn’t get anything higher than the lowest graphical settings. But with its 120Hz refresh rate, scrolling, swiping, and navigating through apps feels buttery smooth. It handles heavy apps like Instagram and Snapchat with ease, without any lags or shutters. The Vivo V27 runs on FunTouch OS 13, which is based on Android 13. It’s great to see that it comes with the latest Android version out of the box. The user interface is simple and easy to navigate, with an app drawer when you scroll up on the home screen and a notification panel when you swipe down.
There are also plenty of features like RAM expansion, Ultra Game Mode, Dynamic Effects, shake to turn on flash, smart split, and many more. However, there are a few pre-installed apps like LinkedIn, Netflix, and Spotify that you may want to uninstall. Overall, the Vivo V27 is a solid mid-range phone with a great design, good build quality, and fantastic cameras. However, it’s not the best phone under 35K, as it lacks dual stereo speakers and has room for improvement in the battery department.
Battery
The phone comes with a 5000 mAh battery that offers a decent backup. With moderate usage, you can easily get a full day’s worth of battery backup, and even some juice left for the next day. But if you’re a heavy user, you may need to plug in the charger by evening. The 66W fast charger is a lifesaver, taking only 45 minutes to fully charge the phone from 0 to 100 percent.
