 Infinix Zero X

Infinix Zero X is Infinix’s latest foray into the mid-range segment, with a maxed-out device, probably the best they have come up with so far. It sports an AMOLED 6.95-inch screen, a high 120Hz refresh rate, huge 8GB RAM, a 4500mAh battery, and the decent Helio G95 chipset. It is packed with all manner of bells and whistles, and it doesn’t disappoint. Clearly, no compromises were taken here.

Design

Infinix Zero X comes with a 6.67-inch 120hz AMOLED screen with a waterdrop design for the selfie camera. It’s a huge phone, bigger than most phones in its class. It’s hardly a one-handed operation, with a screen-to-body ratio of 86.5%. It has a plastic frame and back and a NEG Dinorex protected front panel. It is very bright and vivid, peaking at 700 nits, making this the best screen in the whole Infinix line. It’s not rated for splash protection, but it’s certainly not waterproof. Fortunately, it has top-placed a headphone jack. It has an under the screen optical fingerprint sensor, in addition to face unlock. It has a dual downward-firing speaker, which is great for playing media.

Performance

Infinix Zero X comes with the budget Mediatek Helio G95, making it decently fast. It has a Cortex Octa-core CPU paired with a Mali G76 GPU, with storage options of 8 GB for RAM & 128/256 GB for ROM. It also comes with a dedicated expandable memory option. It is running the latest Android 11, with an XOS 7.6 skin on top. The performance, coupled with the 120hz high refresh rate screen, feels fast, smooth and rich in color. It however comes with lots of pre-installed apps, which can be an underwhelming experience, especially if you are not used to bloatware. The OS is however very customizable, with tonnes of themes and other customizations. Over and above, the performance is great.

Cameras

Infinix Zero X has a triple camera arrangement on the back. It comes with the huge 108 MP primary sensor, for those excellent daylight photos. This means the Infinix Zero X has the best camera in the whole Infinix line.  Additionally, it has an 8MP telephoto sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, with a 120-degree field of view. The photos are great and vivid, even in low light conditions. The potential here for impressive photos is massive. The video can support up to 4K video at 30 fps, with HDR support. The selfie camera is a decent 16MP wide sensor, capable of up to 4K video at 30fps. The selfies are great and well-lit.

Other features

The Infinix Zero X supports USB Type C and comes with 45W fast charging. It comes with a decent Li-Po 4500mAh non-removable battery which can get to 40% in just 15 mins. All things considered, this is a great device all-rounder, with a high refresh rate screen, impressive performance, a huge camera, and fast charging. If anything, it’s probably the highest spec phone in the history of Infinix devices. It comes in Nebula Black, Starry Silver, and Tuscany Brown
